February 2023 Trestle Board

From the East

My Brethren,

I would like to congratulate our newest EA Robert Nelson on joining our brotherhood. It is good to see the craft grow. It was a pleasure hosting Warren Lodge during our Double EA degree.  I hope that we can continue to work with the other lodges in the Southern Oregon area. This also includes having official visits to those lodges as well. It would be nice to share in the brotherhood of the area lodges.

February 11th is our Sweethearts Dinner. I will be cooking for this evening. With this said, you can text, call or email me cell is 702-266-5544, and email is chef_morton@hotmail.com. I hope to see you and your lady there. Cost for the dinner is $15 per person. RSVP no later than February 7th.

In conjunction with the Josephine Shrine club, WB John Rall and I are looking at a chili cook off between the brother, Superbowl Sunday with a viewing party. The Josephine Co Shrine Club with provide the chips and drinks. I hope to see the brother there.

From the West

Brethren,

I thought I would have been more productive in January, turns out I was sick for most of the month and even had a week in the hospital.  Unfortunately that means my Budget, Audit and Bylaws committee’s are running behind.  Don’t fret, it just so happens that I have great committee members that have stepped up and carried the torch.  The budget is in its final tweaking, Bro. Chris Leach has taken on the Bylaws and is working directly with the GM and we haven’t started the audit yet.

And Meet on the Level.

From the South

The first stirrings of new life are felt a the great wheel turns from winter to spring.  Water begins to move beneath the ice and we notice the lengthening of the days. Dreams conceived on the Winter Solstice take root, although the weather is still wintery, there is no turning back on the journey to the sun’s return.  Winter’s darkness begins to loosen its grip, and new beginnings are seen all around as spring approaches.  This is the time for rebirth and healing.

Brethren,

I am hoping all brothers and their families are having a good start to the new season approaching.  I also would like to remind everyone that the lodge will be hosting Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday, February 11th at 7pm.

Have a good day my brothers and act by the plumb.
