April 2022 Trestle Board

From the East

My Brothers,

On a somber note, we will be draping the altar for departed Brother Francis J. Schiappacasse.  Our Brother went to greet the Great Architect on the morning of March 22nd

St. Patrick’s Day dinner of corned beef and cabbage was a success.  Thanks to the hard work of the Junior Warden and his Stewards and the spontaneous volunteers who assisted in the serving and cleanup.

Who will be the FC that we will raise in July, when we once again have an outdoor degree?

We have an EA scheduled for Thomas Abbott on April 12th.  We have EA Proficiency coming in May.

See you on April 5th at Stated Meeting.

From the West

My Brethren,

As most of you know I recently had the opportunity to go to Ireland. I did not get the chance to visit any lodges there but what I was impressed by more is the welcomeness of the Irish people. I did not go anyplace that they did not seem kind.

Looking at how we operate and look at one another in our own country makes me wonder what we can learn from the Irish. Masonry has helped those individuals that have that good nature in their heart and help them bring it forth to others.

Looking into this month we hope to have some new members and possible some members advancing. Let us remember to welcome and help these brothers and never forget those that are still here but have not been present. While I know that life does get in the way, but let us not use that as a excuse to not make time for others.
